We have been passed a copy of a resignation letter dated 13th August that appears to have been emailed by one of the CCTV people. The FORMAL NOTICE OF RESIGNATION FROM THE CCTV appears to be appended to an apology sent to an organisation who passed it on to us.
The 'dear friend' greeting would suggest that it was sent to a number of people.
I have removed any text that I think may identify any individual, other than reid! If people are happy to have their names displayed then let me know by email. I have also removed a number of comments that are in the document. These comments make allegations of behaviour by reid that I do not want to publish at this time.

Thank you for the valuable support you have given, in good faith, to the CCTV. I am sharing with you my reasons, outlined below in my letter to fellow executive council members, for resigning from the CCTV. Please accept that I had never intended to deceive you in my support and promotion of Michael Reid, whom you may already know from media exposure, has been discredited as the figurehead of the CCTV. I lacked the intuition to see his true nature over many years of working with him.
Your support and trust should never have been repaid with deceit and for that I am truly sorry.

FORMAL NOTICE OF RESIGNATION FROM THE CCTV

I am submitting my resignation as an executive council member of the CCTV forthwith. All integrity and authority for the CCTV evaporated with the exposure of its figurehead, Michael Reid, as an adulterer for eight years with the Choir Mistress at the formerly named, Michael Reid Ministries church, which he was supposed to lead as its pastor. As a result, the CCTV ceases to be a credible organisation constituted to campaign for the advancement of traditional family values. Michael Reid was the face and voice of the CCTV whose reputation as a Christian pressure group has been destroyed by his exposure as a fake.

The name of the CCTV and its campaign plan xxxxxxxxxx raised the profile of Michael Reid as the champion of traditional family values. The brand is now worthless. I carry a great burden of responsibility for having promoted Michael Reid on national TV, Radio and the Press, with the result of giving the enemies of our faith a weapon with which to mock Christian values – namely his sensational media exposure as a sham. I have made my profound apologies to xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and elsewhere for my utter lack of perception. Michael Reid’s broadcasts are peppered with specific denunciations of the sin of adultery providing the media with graphic evidence of his peerless hypocrisy. He was even accompanied on CCTV media forays by his then mistress, as you will recall. I have recently faced loud scornful laughter in xxxxxxxxxxxx, and deservedly so, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx “that so-called Bishop who preached family values”! I have also apologised to the xxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
