Like many worldly people who make a lot of fuss about how other people should behave, reid was finally revealed to the world to be a complete and total hypocrite.

He had set up the CCTV organisation to campaign for Christian family values. A number of other ministers from other churches had been pursuaded to be part of the organisation.

He campaigned vociferously and aggressively against lifestyles that he saw were not Christian, in particular he condemned homosexual lifestyles. There were demonstrations in London where reid took most of the church members, including the children from the school. Two masked mem smashed a television with sledgehammers in a dramatic action that was pictured in the newspapers and the press. Reid and michael reid ministries (the church) peniel received a lot of press coverage and media interest with his campaign for Christian values.

The revelation in April 2008 that reid had been in an 8 year adulterous relationship with a married woman, turned reid and Christianity itself into a laughing stock. Finally this hypocrite was exposed to the world for what he really was. Unfortunately he has given genuine Christians a much more difficult task in their efforts to demonstrate that Christian family values really were the best way to bring up children.

reid resigned from peniel amidst a lot of publicity (and laughter) having done a lot of damage to the image of Christianity.

Unfortunately his resignation did not end his career. He is currently reported (August 2008) to be trying to get back into peniel and to get what he considers to be 'his' share of the value of the Peniel church.
